How to apply

The first lesson about agriculture is that nothing is guaranteed. Like crops, vacancies ripen with the weather. Once you click the “apply” button, you’ll see what’s currently on offer.

The process depends on whether you’re applying as a group or individually. Either way, you should apply for one farm only and we’ll ask you to switch locations, if necessary, based on supply and demand.

Groups

Check that you all meet the requirements

Choose a captain to be the main point of contact

Captain fills in application form on behalf of team, giving all candidates’ names and email addresses when requested

Captain consolidates everyone’s CV into a single document and uploads this to the CV section of the application

If invited, choose a time to attend the live group video interview (you don’t all need to be in the same place, but you do all need to be available at the same time)

If accepted, each individual must read the job specification and contract carefully, before confirming acceptance… and reporting for work!

Individuals

After you have made your application on a secure website belonging to GTI (makers of TARGETjobs), it will go to Pro-Force (one of the UK’s most respected providers of seasonal agricultural labour). Pro-Force will then handle the selection, recruitment and on-boarding stages of the process. GTI editorial and marketing staff may be back in touch once you’re on the farm, with a view to evaluating the UniGrow pilot project and possibly writing about your experiences.
